I am in search of a codec pack that I can install which will let me watch divx movies and other video formats with Windows Media Player. In the past, I used a codec pack called SLD Codec Pack which worked great but just the other day it said the trial period was over. Does anyone know of any other codec packs like this one or even another video player that will support more movie formats than Media Player?

all you need is the latest Divx, xvid, divx3.11 and AC3 then you should be set for nearly everything

Just as note...

f you get the 5.1 divx codec, it includes all previous versions of Divx encoding... so you dont need the 3.11 ( at least thats what I have found... shrug )

Got that off the Divx site..
