Looking for a cheap Android with Micro SIM

Currently an Apple guy who is making the move to android. I am mainly doing this because I want the ability to take my SIM card on my new phone (prob an S4 or One) and put it into a cheap android phone at work (we aren't allowed camera phones, and I am NOT going to brick my camera on a brand new smart phone).

Firstly, is this idea feasible on AT&T?

If so, what are some cheap phones I could use for this task (Not looking to spend more than like... $50-100). All it really needs to do is text, make phone calls and maybe some basic app use. I don't need any fancy software features, or anything that is blazing fast.

There are adapters from micro to mini, you know. Although some people will say that these things will break your SIM tray.

I actually have my two SIM cards originally mini-sized (2FF/'normal'), and used micro-SIM cutter that I bought on Amazon to cut them to micro-size. Whenever I need to put the now-micro-sized card on another phone that only takes mini-SIM, I just stick it back in its original mini-sized body (that I didn't throw away) with a clear tape. Never had any problem with this method.

I see. Well looks like the HTC One and my current iphone4 both use micro SIM, so I wouldn't have to do all that.

This is kind of a crappy time to need a new phone...I don't know if I should hold out for the iphone5s or cave in and get the One. If I hold out for the 5s, it means I need to get a replacement iphone 4, which will cost about $150. I'd have to hope that I could resell it later on for about $125 or so.

Almost every phone since Galaxy S3 (including S3) has been using Micro SIM. Nano Sim is another matter.

I hope you are doing well. I can suggest that you buy a product called-Magic SIM- or -Dual SIM adapter-, with that you can use two SIM cards in the same device even if the device is not designed to handle two SIM cards.


Another thing that you can do is buy a new dual SIM device (only available with Android OS) and with this type of phone you won't need to change the SIM cards.
