Topic & Summary

Thinking about a Geforce 7950 GT 256mb PCI-E for 139.99 after MIR from Newegg, but I wanted to see if there were any better deals.

I don't care about the chip set (ATI/NV) whichever one is better bang for my buck.

that seems like a great deal.

i suppose if you want to save some money you could get a 7900gs or something but the 7950gt will be faster.

that's not bad, but I read a post last night from somebody who saw an x1950xt for 145. that would be a much better deal imho if you can find it.

Yeah that was my thinking, and they are about the same price after the rebate.

X1950 Pro v 7950

Seems a little slower but I see em for ~130 w/o rebates.

Opinions? I'd rather not deal with rebates if its not too much worse because last time I did rebates I didn't get my $20 back.

At the current time I'd take an ATI chipset or an NVidia chipset as I've not been impressed with NVidia drivers.

i think bryan was talking about the XT model like this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814102067 ati 1950XT for 167. This should be quiet a bit faster then a 7950gt, once its back in stock that is ;)

another vote the the x1950xt(x), it'll blow the nvidia 79xx series out of the water
