I'm looking for a receiver that can handle the EU power since I'm relocating in a couple of weeks. I checked Amazons prices on their UK, FR, and DE sites and found the prices quite high. Therefore I'm looking to purchase from a US source if possible and just use a basic plug converter.
I currently have a Yamaha and when reading the manual it talks about a "general" model that has a switch on the back allowing you to change the voltages from 110-120 60hz to 220-240 50hz. My receiver does not have this, but obviously there are models that do.
So, to my question. Anyone know where I can purchase a receiver in the US capable of handling EU power? Mostly I'm just cheap and since the move will come with a fair bit of costs associated with it, I'm trying to reduce what I have to spend once I'm over there.
I plan on using a 200 watt transformer with my Polk 100 watt sub since it sounds like that won't affect the sound.
Thanks!
