Looking for 2 really good games to get for my B-Day!

I want something thats as addicting as Doom 3, haha jk. But no I want something that will keep me playing from the morning I wake up until... well, the next morning. I have Far Cry, KOTOR, and Doom 3 so definitely not those. I was considering Warhammer 40k Dawn of War, Rome Total War, Shellshock Nam 67, and COD United Offensive but I dont think CODUO will last that long since its an expansion and all. Im kind of set on Dawn of War but I kind of want something to do with the military of today. I heard Joint Operations Typhoon Rising or whatever its called is pretty good but I dont know too much about it. What is a really fun present day military game? Please let me know what you all think and if there are any others that are out or will be out in the next week or so that I should consider looking into. Thanks!
 
Dawn of War for sure. The gameplay is great even though online it seems everyone likes to either rush, whine or quit.
 
Definately the shoe in for game of the year; Rome Total War. Its a winner. I just noticed at gogamer where i got mine for 44 bucks, it's 29 bucks for the next 36 hours. Great deal on a great game!

OK so its Dawn of War fo shizzle! What should the second game be? Im thinking about Rome Total War but I kinda dont want two RTS games at once.

And I would buy the Sims 2 but I dont want my parents walking in on me when some 3d people are making out or naked even especially if its a dude.
 
My vote goes for UT2004. Thus far, I consider that to be my game of the year...especially with all the mods.
 
CODUO is great fun. True, the single-player campaign is on the short side, but remember it has a whole new multiplayer component as well which should last you for quite awhile.

But if you don't have UT2004 yet I'd have to vote for that instead. The Onslaught mode is just awesome.
 
I was thinking about Joint Ops but I want a game that has a good single player too and plus the hummers look stupid on that game if they are hummers. I think I'll go for Rome Total War and WH40k Dawn of War.

Ah, well, I was going to say get CODUO now and a gift certificate for HL2.

Not easy giving gift advice to someone who has everything (or close to it).😉
