I wanna upgrade my ram to 1GB (2x512mb) My dell can go up to pc3200 speed for the ram.

Here are my current specs
p4 2.8
200GB WD
Geforce 6800
Win xp pro
Antec SmartPower 400w

What are some good options? I'm looking at OCZ, Corsair, etc.

i wouldnt spend anymore than $90 bucks on a gig of ram for your system. Cas 2 wont improve any noticeable performance over 2.5 which you can overclock anyways. Save yourself money for future upgrades and go with my recommendation. Oh yah with the pqi i clocked my 2.66ghz p4 to 3.3ghz.

if you are on a budget, which you did not say that you was, i would go with what has been recommended but if you want quality memory with great timings go OCZ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820146896
or this is what i have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820146890
or this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820227055 i used to buy the cheap stuff and when i finally coughed up the $$$ for some great memory i was shocked by the difference it made. and yes the timings do make a difference, i seen it first hand going from 2.5-4-4-8 memory to what i have now 2-2-2-5.

I currently have 2 sticks of 128 at pc3200 and 2 sticks of 512 at pc3200. Would it be beneficial to me to keep any of those when I get my new ram or will it just slow the good ram down?
