I'm looking at a weighted rope from Rogue, they offer 9 and 10' length. I'm 5'11 I had a speed rope but I suck at jumping rope and didn't like how I couldn't feel the rope because it was so damn light. Which length would be better?

I cut the speed rope to make it the right size, but I'm not sure which of these to order. I want a weighed rope so I can get the feedback from the weight I don't get at all from the speed one. Is this rope going to be too heavy? I want something quality but I'm not sure if this rope will be too heavy.

thoughts? If anyone has a suggestion for something else I'm all ears, don't mind if it's pricey like this one, I want something that will work well and last me.

They usually have a guide to which length you should order. I followed the guide and my rope turned out fine.

Usually they have a free single exchange policy too if the rope is too long/too short.

Personally I wouldn't get a "weighted" rope. I have the SR1 and I purchased the RX 3.4Oz with a 9 foot rope. I use the SR1 now the most, but the RX rope has a great weight that helps it whip around a bit if you're trying to get your double unders.

A weighted rope has solid uses in training but I couldn't use one for high volume workouts. I have an RPM and a few Rogue ropes with an uncoated cable. Can't use it on concrete but it's fast as hell.

Does each revolution strike the ground? I found that the audible feedback was much more helpful when starting out than anything physical.
