test drove the WRX and love the car.
not sure if I should wait till mid to late summer for the 2011 WRX or buy now or maybe deals can be had on a 2010 when the 2011 hits.

Dealer was going to take 2k off the sticker.

no used WRX in sight with low miles, at a price that would make it worth getting a used one, Say 2009 or newer.

I love the look of the 2011 WRX Sedan although I'd probably never pick one up. That being said, I could never buy a used WRX/STI/EVO/SRT4, basically anything that attracts ricers with a turbo in it. I would never trust that the original owner didn't beat the crap out of it, no matter how good it looks and how good it sounds running. I know how I drive and that alone makes me not trust it :)

I WAS ALSO THINKING THE SAME THING

They're tough cars. Being driven hard is better than being poorly modded. Unfortunately the two go hand in hand 90% of the time.

That said, wait for the 2011. Do you really want to feel like you settled?

2011 is suppose to have some suspension tweaks as well along with wider tires. Might just handle better, and does look better imo.

This!

Its the sole reason I bought my Genesis Coupe new instead of getting a used 350z or G35.

I think you'd be fine with a clean 350Z or G35. There are a ton of them around here and I rarely see anyone raggin on them. Look for one that is bone stock with good service history and you'd probably never have a bit of trouble with it.

I'm seriously considering a '10 STI SE... Current year base model STIs are getting hard to find in CA, and I would completely replace the stereo anyway. The dealer is willing to sell the car for invoice.

I used to have an 06' STI and miss the thing quite a bit. The new 2011 STI totally reminds me of the old GD body style... which is awesome! lol. I love that big wing!!!! I'm now driving an 08' EVO GSR and I love it too... something about turbo'd 4 bangers.... :D

Bone stock.... but there are people who removed everything and return them to stock when they trade it in or return their lease.

Make sure you check out what your insurance rate will be. <- only thing that has been keeping me from getting one for the last 4years.

More common than you realize.

Every 4 banger or SUV with tape on racing stripes is a ricer at heart. And they are usually old(er) farts.

Good point, and thanks for posting this as it prompted me to call my insurance company to check. Moving from my '08 M3 to a '10 STI would bump my premium up by $140/year, so no essential difference.

Isn't that crazy though? Insurance on STIs is crazy. That was a big selling point of the Legacy for me.

WHAT THE F?

Scratch off one reason not to get my M3, I thought insurance was going to dissuade me but if its cheaper than an ugly looking STI...

Cheaper, yeah, but it's all relative. Astronomical, or ever so slightly less astronomical. :D

Correct :)

And it'll go slightly higher still when I add the endorsement for the aftermarket audio/nav system I'll put in.

Welp, as sort of expected, the dealer isn't offering me enough on my trade-in, so now I wait until my car sells. :)

Well the STI is pure factory rice if there ever was one and if you don't believe that look at the one a few years ago with the autozone-like whale tail they stuck on it at the factory. Shocking and in all ways horrendous.

Good freaking heck look at it, is this really the 2011? What's with this fvcking whale tail?

This looks better if a little too superhero costume http://jalopnik.com/5499609/2011-subaru-wrx-wider-is-better
