My grandma wants to sell me her 08 Camry. It only has 11k miles on it and has been driven less than one tank of gas's worth in the past year.

I'm figuring some stuff like belts and fluids, at the minimum, will need to be replaced. Are there any other areas of concern? It's been stored in a Midwestern climate, nothing super hot or humid.

It's in very good shape and I figure it's worth around 12500. I was going to offer her 11500, factoring in the flight to go retrieve it, drive it across the universe, etc.

Easy to own, maintain and built very well. While car snobs will make comments about it not being suitable for doochebag type driving its perfect for point a to b family car.
Handling is VERY predictable when driven at legal speeds. The SE model is actually not bad.
Stops fine. Plenty of power from either 4 cylinder of V6 with decent gas mileage to boot.

Not certain what year Camry changed from the two speed automatic. Auto drives well enough, but mileage can be disappointing.

Camry's are soul-less, but they have such a low cost of ownership because they seem to run forever with little to no problems. Earlier this year I sold my perfectly fine running 02 Camry to buy a Saturn Sky Redline. As much as I love having a convertible roadster, I have this horrible feeling in my gut I'll regret it 3 years down the road after it's broken down 5 times and I've spent lord knows how much money to get it fixed.

Outside of a new battery and a starter I never had to do shit to my Camry. But as pointed out by others, it's the most boring car I've ever driven. Even compared to my previous car a Ford Taurus. And that wasn't exactly a soulful fun to drive beast lol.
