Looking at 19'' monitors: Hitachi 776 or 771?

I love Hitachi monitors and was planning to buy the CM776. Anyone have any info on the CM771? I might go for that instead.

There have been reports of the 771 having some geometry issues. The screen has been bowing down from the top. There have been a few posts about this monitor on these forums -- you might want to search for them.

I own a 776 at home and use a 771 at work. They are both very nice, but i like the 776 better. i got it for 440 shipped, and it came in 3 days..

i am happy with both monitors, but i dont see any reason to go with a 771 when the 776 are so similar in price.

ive got a g400 32meg at work and a asus v6800 32meg ddr at home, they both drive their respective monitors very well at 1600x1200@75hz, and i dont think im being limited in the respect.
