I thought i would make a seperate thread so as things do not get clogged up

okay so i am looking for a replacement PSU to replace my cheap brand Alpine one,

Set up also to mention (Will be once i get the PSU)

i7 3770K
Z68 APD3 (GIGABYTE)
1SSD + 2X HDD's (1TB + 500GB)
16GB RAM
HD 7970/7950 or GTX 670
New Soundcard (ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 likely)

a few examples of what i've been looking at are

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Corsair-C...omputing_PowerSupplies_EH&hash=item53feb8bf47 (might need more than 500w though)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/550W-PSU-...omputing_PowerSupplies_EH&hash=item53fcc6a7fe

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-100b10500kr

Budget: 50-55GBP. Anything that would be best would be good and support that build.

XFX 550W £51 @ scan. Can't really find any PSU that competes with this in your price range. The CX and EVGA B units have 3 year warranty, while the XFX has 5 year warranty and it's built by Seasonic.

I'm wondering if the setup you're buying is used? It has a generation old CPU and two generations old motherboard. If you're buying new, the equivalents are 4770K and Z87.

Oh. You said that's what the setup will be once you get your PSU. But it already is.

ooooh, well story is i have a i5 2320 "Family computer" rig with the Z68 AP-D3, and my current "Personal rig" i7 3770k has a AsRock B75 Pro-3M and i'm gonna be swapping the motherboards out, so that's why i kind of said it will be once i get the PSU as i will do that along with putting the new PSU in

Okay. If you're still in the process of rebuilding it though, it technically isn't your current setup.
