Looking a decent mouse pad

I need some suggestions on a decent mouse pad.

I do some gaming and a lot of work on the computer.

Any suggestions?

The corepad glass pads have the best surface but the pads are too thick with the rubber backing and stick too high up. Icemat is the second best (and what I use now)

Could try taping a white piece of paper to your desk🙂. It was my 'getting by" mouse pad until I got a real one for my newer, reflective desk. In terms of tracking, best and cheapest pad ever. Then it started getting folded so I switched to a $2 'standard blue' pad that was in storage. Looks like total as* right now cause half of it is white from sweat, dad skin and dust. Maybe I gotta get one too...

I've been wondering about mousepads also. I used an icemat with my MX700 for a long time and really liked it (other than the problem of the mousepad needing cleaned daily). Unfortunately that icemat does not work with my G7 laser mouse. Are there any sites that do comparisons of mousepads or anything? Most of the mouse pad "reviews" I see are small sites that just say oh yeah this mouse pad is good without comparing it to other gaming surfaces.
