its 23 bux here

and 41 bux at amazon.

i've always wanted a split keyboard, but the elite didn't have multimedia keys and the pro/non elite cost too much. seems to be reasonably priced now hmm.

i mostly like mute/volume keys, don't really care about the rest:p

I own the Microsoft Natural Multimedia Keyboard. It's a good keyboard, very solid and pressing down keys feels nice. I've never really used the hot keys, so the "Multimedia" part is kind of useless to me. I do like how the arrow keys are in a triangle shape instead of the diamond shape like the Elite version had it. It's only a PS/2 keyboard which meant I couldn't use it on my laptop which had no PS/2 ports.

The only real complaint I have about it is the function keys aren't F1, F2, F3 etc. by default. On boot, they default to Cut/Paste, New, Open etc. You have to press Fn Lock to use the F1, F2, F3 keys everytime you startup. This is slightly annoying as I turn my computer off when I'm not using it. If you can tell me how to get Fn Lock on by default, please let me know!

It's a good keyboard, well worth the money. Remember there is the OEM and Retail versions of the keyboard. They're almost exactly the same, but the OEM comes with a dark grey trim and the Retail version comes with a blue trim.

BTW, I own the Original MS Natural Keyboard, MS Natural Keyboard Elite and MS Natural Multimedia Keyboard.

I own the Pro , Elite and Multimedia versions of the Natural Series. All are solid keyboards but I prefer the Multimedia one the best. They keys have nicer feel than the Elite plus the Elite has wierd arrow keys which I do not like. The Pro and the Mulitmedia are pretty much the same but there is just something about the feel on the Mulitimedia that makes me favor this keyboard more.

I have the same complaint, but for some reason, the keyboard stay powered all the time, and so the Fn Lock key does not turn off. This means that the light on the keyboard is always on, but it doesn't bother me. I run the keyboard through a 2 port KVM switch.

I like the split keyboard, but I don't use the multimedia keys much.

no, oem just doesn't come with retail packaging etc. i think only oem software can't be sold separately.

Actually, MS OEM hardware does require you to buy other hardware with it. Although all the computer stores I've been to just sell it to you by itself.

i got one:) not bad at all, but i'm still getting used to it since i kinda sometimes reach for the y key with my left hand still.

the keys feel better then my old ms internet keyboard, which i thought had too much resistence, and the extra volume/function keys are more useful. the thing i hated about my older ms keyboard was all the little blue round function keys looked completely the same, doesn't let you use em quickly, this ones more like the logitechs with intuitive shape/layout. color of keyboard aint bad, not as ulgy as my old one:)

haha..

I went to purchase the keyboard at pixelusa and went to process the order thinking that next screen is going to give option to enter cc information then it states Thank You for your order, this is a will call order..

lol

fud... guess I should of paid more attention. Damn my multitasking sucks!
It obviously stated it would be will call order on couple of screens before (nifty back button).

Okay.. All I have to do is drive to california from oklahoma.
Lets see.. gas for round trip will be.. oh about.. $80.

haha

I really like mine. It takes awhile to get used to the split keys but once you do you won't go back. Since I have a very wide chest it makes typing much easier on me since my arms are gorilla like.)

I agree with everyone else here. I have a Natural Multimedia Keyboard here at work, and I love the comfort level of it. However, that damn function lock I really, truly hate. I'm sure it's useful to some people, but not for me. If there were some way to disable it all together, I'd have to say it's the perfect keyboard, for me at least.

Did a search and figured it'd be best to bump an old thread than get beaten over the head by repost nazis. :p

Just got one at clearance from Target for $23 and change. I had a Natural Keyboard Pro before this. This one is quieter and has a few more useful buttons. The f-lock thing is annoying as hell though. I did a google and found this though: F Lock hack

I've tried three different "natural" keyboards and the MS multimedia is by far my favorite.
