Not really, all the jap RPGs are on consoles.

Get some good PC RPGs like Oblivion or Star Wars - knights of the old republic.

I just thought I'd share that I've just played "Fahrenheit" for the PC and I loved every second of it. Great game.

Don't worry everyone, I've gave myself all the cookies I need. Cheers.

Ditto. I absolutely can't believe I missed this game when it first came out. I actually feel guilty for only spending $20 on it instead of the $50 these games cost when they're first released -_-

It's hardly a Japanese RPG though... sorry I can't help you there. RPG's used to be my favorite genre, but ever since Everquest I feel like all they are is "work."

Happy gaming.

No, Japanese RPGs suck and thus are not worthy of the PC. Get a real RPG like Baldur's Gate II or Deus Ex.
This is so totally wrong. I love japanese RPGs but yea, they are really only on consoles. However, the neverwinter night series is quite nice. You can pick up the diamond edition which includes all expansions for arond $20 I think.

okkk,, so grandia 2, onimusha 3, (yay),, and fahrenheit.. Ok shop time.

i don't see why it's so hard to make those rpgs for PC, i mean you'd think that graphic cards can produce much better graphics. i have FF8 and it looks much better on PC then on PS, although it only runs at shitacular resoultion and does not support Antialiasing.

There's FFXI for the PC and PS2. If you are into MMO's that is. But it's still an RPG. Plenty of PC RPG's if ya look around. I'm...hooked on FFXI again now though.

Wo just looked at the screenshots for fahrenheit, that girl character in the white shirt and thong is H0t
Her name is Carla Valenti 😉 She's one of the three main characters. The game does have some adult content, but it's all handled very tastefully and not gratuitous at all, so it adds to the immersion. The USA Indigo Prophecy release is supposed to be mildly censored, so I just picked up Fahrenheit online (direct2drive I believe).

OMG, Onimusha is CRZYYYY dang yo,, DANGGGG....I am completely obsessed,, like ****** dude, I'm starting to see the onimusha world everywhere, thats how much i like the game. When my mom made me mad, i just pictured her as a demon and "IN MY MIND" i did the lightning atk with my raisen.

Wow can't wait till devil may cry.. One question i'm having this problem where I cannot use my AUdigy card to play the game, it would crash randomly, I have to switch to onboard sound in order to play it without crashing. Is that due to system instability or just the Audigy.???? I've never had this problem before.. The only reason i guessed at switching to onboard was the wierd whining noise that i'd hear via the speakers prior and after it crashes.??

Where do i get direct 2 drive version of fahrenheit "is indigo prophecy the same game?"

In my opinion RPGs are all about the story, followed by gameplay and then graphics. Thats why i say one of the best RPGs that i have played is Torment. Waking up on a slab in a strange world with instructions tattoed on you is about a great setup for a good story as I could imagine, and the story, history, and people of the world are all well crafted.

I mentioned this in other posts but really grab anything other than Lionheart made by Black Isle (now disbanded) and you will not be disappointed.

Thanks for recommending Fahrenheit. I bought it via Direct2Drive based on this thread and am loving it so far. So far it is one of the most immersive and fun graphic adventures I have ever played (and I have played lots of them).

Glad you like it. If you have any questions on it PM me.

Just to help clear things up inveterate:
Fahrenheit = Original, uncensored Euro release (rated AO)
Indigo Prophecy = Slightly censored USA release (rated M)
Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Director's Cut = online release intended to bring the uncensored version to North American customers (rated AO)
