Lookie at what my students bought me! * Mandatory PIC *

Okay, I'm not a gamer, so I didn't initially understand the symbology. I guess it pertains to a certain character in Half-Life? Anyway, the students claim that I look something like that character. Perhaps my friends here can enlighten me on this a bit.

I was told that I should run through the halls waving my arms and yelling something. Hmm?

Here.

I was, of course, flattered by what they did. I've never had something like this before.

🙂🙂

Pics of you so we can tell you which character you resemble? There are only some 4579578943789478954789549784329804328974398794879548799754 scientists in that game (most of whom look the same anyway). If you look like Freeman, you, sir, are my new hero 😛

Do you have pictures of your face? There's five different scientists in Half-Life, a middle-aged guy with glasses and red hair, an old guy who looks like Albert Einstien, a pale bald looking guy, a black guy with short hair, and a mostly bald old guy with glasses.

And Freeman. He's wearing a lab coat in the intro seq to Blue Shift (you spot Freeman on your way in to work) so he does in fact wear one before he gets the HEV.

That is freaking awesome! You need to go play Half-Life... How could you live on ATOT and not have heard about the most successful PC game in history?

In answer to the question, Halflife is a series of games where the main character (Dr Gordon Freeman) runs around trying to save his own butt and those of his frieds from bad guys. It is a complex, rich story with a lot more emphasis on thinking than most first-person shooter games (though it doesn't lack the catharsis of blowing things up, either! 🙂 )

That lab coat is something most geeks around here would love to get as a gift. Be flattered.
