What does this mean..

For what it?s worth, McFadden looked as if he were walking on hot coals.

Does that mean he's walking around as if he's light on his feet and ready to go, or as if he's in pain 😕

fast feet, running like hell to get away from the coals?

EDIT: conjure up an image of someone running on hot coals. They bring their knees up higher than normal, hop around, and keep their feet on the ground as little as is possible.

1. dig a big hole about 6 inches deep and 10 yards long in your back yard.

2. fill it with wood from your neighbors tree that you chopped down,

3. light it on fire

4. after it burned down to just hot coals take off your shoes and run across it.

5. Do it again, this time set up the video camera to tape you.

6. when you get back from the ER watch it, see how you are running across the hot coals, that is what they mean.
