You know, you're going to be over the weight recommendation of the stand you got, right?

It should handle it, take into account the LCD screens are light its the stand that comes with them that I will be removing.

That's true. That should cut you back under the 48.

Killer setup. I need to hop on the LCD wagon at some time, only one i have is attached to my laptop.

Wow that's awesome. I was thinking of using 2 video cards and splitting the DVI(Max 4 screens) but that should be cheaper.
The only downside is that the max resolution per screen is 1280x1024. Oh and it uses VGA (not DVI).

we had one of these in the graphics lab back at college... it's AWESOME for 3d rendering with one perspective on each screen.

That looks awesome, but what are the practicalities of it?

Are there any set ups that can handle 4 mointors, using a 2x2 set up?

I've got 3 screens (mismatched), and it's great. I'd love to have three 20.1" LCD panels (i've got a 19" LCD, 21" CRT, 17" CRT).

They work fine, I'm running two off my primary vid card, and I have a PCI radeon 9250 for the other.

3D engineering. Maya, 3ds max, autocad
Flipping through side view, front, top etc is a pain in the ass.
