I got a couple of somethings to make my summer interesting....

I'm thinking I'll go stock 5.56 on the Rock River and maybe 9mm on the Grizzly, but I've considered 5.45. What do you guys think?

you just find that on the street somewhere? Those are upper receivers for an AR15 right? I'm not up to snuff on my gun stuff...

Nice score.

I have a few stripped lowers myself locked away for a rainy day. They are LMT lowers, and both have pending Form 1's so I can make SBR builds out of them.

If you paid more than $150 for each of those (after shipping), then I must  @u.

Actually they were around that before shipping, the FFL transfer fee +bg check + shipping made it higher by about $30+...but at least I didn't get stuck paying any other taxes (my state charges 9+%.

I got them both from Gunbroker. Right now the RRA's are going for $190 and the LAR Grizzly's go anywhere from $150-220 online...though they used to be much cheaper. Certain brands just cost more, even though they're all basically the same. You can still get a lot of lesser known roll-stamped stripped lowers for around $130 if you look...

I want to assemble on of those lowers with my dad as a fun father/son project. When it's all said and done, I'll have $715 in my first AR (5.56) and probably $850+ if I build a 9mm. The 9mm costs more because not many companies make upper parts and I'll probably need to get a different buffer and whatever adapters are needed for the magazine. I'm going to spec out the build costs of both 9mm and 5.45, but am really leaning toward 9mm because I know the ammo is common enough.

Don't go cheap on the LPK and upper half.
