It's a B-17. A B-24 also was there. I'm working on the pics right now.

That represents the number of nazi aircraft it shot down. You can also see the yellow bombs on the same side. They represent the number of bombing runs this plane went on.

that plane came to a airport near my house and i went and checked it out. pretty cool got to walk through it.

The sound of those 4 engines when they fired it up was really really cool.. I wish i could have gone back in time to see a whole field full of B-17's lined up ready for a bombing run on Germany. what an incrediable sight that must have been.
