Ok had my dinner and ran same test as above but with 16xAA and i get 29-31FPS so i have halfed my FPS count from no AA to 16x AA, i see no difference in games looks but slightly laggy to play so i leave it of and 1600x1200 all rest settings maxed will do, i not even bother with any AA.
This is 1st game i cant ideally max and play decently, but N40 is jsut about 1 year old (prob is but from time of launch).
Splinter Cell 3 CT demo was a sync all maxed but may be its different as not openGL.

That really doesnt make any sense, why do you need 16x AA at 1600x1200? 1600x1200 with quincux has no aliasing at all.
And is 16xAA even an option? Last i knew 8x was the max.

Well the 6800 cards are only able to do 8X AA, so even if you choose 16X it'll revert to 8X.

FWIW, the cards are quite capable of it... nVidia's drivers merely don't expose the functionality through the control panel at this point in time. There are a good 7-9 different FSAA modes that are functional, with but not unveiled through the drivers.

woopee An expansion to an excellent game that we all love to play all the time.
Hey I loved Doom3. I happen to like "horror" type games, and I played Doom 3 to the last level.
There is no other game I can say that about last year.
People have different tastes. I listen to TOOL, Cracker, and classical almost exclusively these days. You might think that all sucks and listen to country, doesn't mean either of us is "right".
