Like the article said, it probably has more to do with eating habits (nurture) rather than genetics (nature).

So, if one tries hard enough they can change their habits.

It would be interesting to see a study on adopted children and see whether their weight is more genetic or a product of their environment.

From my experience I would tend to agree with the article. There will always be exceptions but for the most part the girls I've dated/married take after their mothers when it comes to body type. One of my sisters is actually the exception...she takes after her dad.

My g/f does have a similar body type to her mom (wide, swaying hips and a more slender torso). She'll probably fill out a bit more with age, but I can watch her walk all day as it is now.
