Big Pappa

my dad had one and I loved it, so I decided to buy one today. Mostly for target shooting, and maybe deer hunting. Otherwise, I'm gonna keep it locked up in the basement.

that is an unnecessary amount of firewpower for target shooting :)
I shot one of those .44's once and that thing to me is a cannon

It's one of the most powerful handguns, but I grew up shooting a Ruger Super Redhawk .44 Magnum and a smaller gun just didn't seem right.

about the cannon factor, I was at the range a couple years back with my best friend shooting my dad's .44 and he had never shot one before and didn't hold it secure enough, and when he shot it recoiled and the gun almost hit him in the forehead. Those babies are hella powerful.

When I was 19 my roomate brought home a Ruger Redhawk. That was one powerful handgun. He had a laser sight on the thing... Wow.

It was amazing, just holding it in your hand made you feel powerful. And it did feel like a cannon going off...

my dad had the laser dot scope, where it didn't actually shoot a laser out, but you saw a little red dot in the scope. I didn't really like it to be honest.

$650 for it? I never did understand why people owned guns though. I mean, unless they go hunting or so.
