I am happy with the company I ordered from. I had a tracking number three hours after I ordered. That's NEVER happened for me before.

I know that 90% of Fedex packages (I won't say 100%, because some cross town packages probably don't go to Memphis) go thru Memphis - even the overnighted ones. I have no idea why this is, but this is what always happens.

The reason FedEx packages goto Memphis (at least originally) is because it's the most efficient way believe it or not. The founder looked at a map and realized that if the country was a flat piece of cardboard and atking into account population, it would balance on the tip of your finger at Memphis, TN. It's more efficient to have a central point to sort packages going to one destination than have lots of pages sent willy nilly direct to their destination.

We have a winner. Same (sort of) reason why sometimes flights on Delta will hit Salt Lake City or Atlanta when it would seem to be very inconvenient. Although, often it is very inconvenient in those cases and Delta is just being a schmuck.

What Windogg said and the fact that Memphis is where FedEx's HQ is located at (my aunt works for them - she gets 50 lb packages sent for free, free plane tickets, etc...)
