Its got ratings and everything, lol

The graph isnt from his testing, its an official slide. In the text you see his results. Its limited as you see but he tests it on Batman, BF3, valve and 3dmark.

Complain if you will but it is something more than we had. Its crappy and it is this guys review

here is what i know, its a rough translate but you guys can get the drift:

"3DMark 11 test, GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores can get X1800 multisection, GTX 570 points can be close to the X2000, a difference of less than 8%.

3DMark Vantage P level, GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores can run out of P25700 multisection, GTX 570, there are almost P27500, a difference of 6% points.

N card used Unigine Hevean project, 1080p resolution and normal surface subdivision setting, GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores results about 45FPS, GTX 570 is 48FPS or so, and if open to the highest surface subdivision, the two scores were to 35FPS, 38FPS.

"Lost Planet 2" 1080p resolution, high quality, A test project, GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores rate of about 50FPS, GTX 570 faster than in the 6FPS, more than 10%.

In general, GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores compared to the "full version" of the GTX 570 games behind the average speed of about 7%, still acceptable. "

Main important thing. should be 7% of a 570. varies game to game.

also:

"the amount of these special video card is not large, coupled with GeForce GTX 560 Ti in domestic sales in good shape, they are not to chaos, and only four in the overseas market, small-scale launch."

again rough translation.

ok now the price will be about 260/ 270$ at launch, I guess.
The gtx560ti 448 Evga FTW card @ 797 core is going for 289$ at Fry's.

With performance 7% slower than a gtx570, it should be about 23$ cheaper.

CUrrent gtx570's are about 320$, so anything under 298$ is right where this card should be, it seems .

I bet its priced between a 69502gb and gtx570. 240$ & 320$

The supply wil be really limited, i know it sounds crazy but this could drive up the price. This card may make the 570 more attractive. Really nvidia is pretty smart in their timing of such a card, think about it.

Yea I'm guessing 30 day avalability for Christmas, perfect timing. A few million in the bank for otherwise unusable cards. Pure profit!

I doubt many are spending $300 dollars this close to the launch of the next gen cards. I really doubt a stripped down 570 is going to send everyone into a frenzy and make them buy a 570.

I agree, if this was spat out as a 560Ti replacement at 220 or so, I might be interested. At close to 300, no thanks. I will wait it out.

WHo said it was gonna be 300$?

Past $270 is close enough so I round it up. Either way this card is boring. I'm ready for the next gen. Even the 580 is getting its butt handed to it by BF3. We need a new single card that can run bf3 maxed out at a steady 70 fps.

this card is making a stir. i bet many many loads of ppl buy it. The next gen cards are not here and this is an option now. xmas is a good time to sell cards and upgrades. Both nvidia and AMD try to have new GPUs by xmas.

I think this card has the ability to make the 570 look more attractive and therefolr actually increasing its sales to. Especially if the sales are good, when ppl go to buy up the hyped card and find its inflated close to the 570 price, its much more attractive.

My guess is it's because they were tired of having to sell 570's against 6950 2gig cards (The current 560 ti doesn't quite do it). This will allow them to up the price on the 570 to more align against the 6970. Still short on vram though when compared to the 6950 2gig, which I think will hurt it.

Can you name 1 game that a 6950 can play at a miminum 40fps while utilizing more than 1.25gb of memory.

No mods or aftermarket texture packs allowed.

I cant wait for your answer.

The answer I came up with is none. You need 2 6950's utilize more than 1.25gb of memory.

How about a game with a 6950 utilizing more than 1gb of memory with a minimum of 40 fps.?

Can you do it?

In general .............
A 5870, 6870, 6950, gtx560ti's are all too weak to utilize more than 1gb of memory while gaming at a minimum of 40 fps.

A gtx570 might use 1.25gb before it runs out of fps in game.
A single 6970 2gb will never use more than 1.5gb of memory unless its crossfired before it runs out of fps in game.

6950 2gb and 6970 2gb cards were made to crossfire.
If you dont crossfire them chances are you never used more than 1gb of its memory before the cards run out of gas.

I read this comment, I thought "people actually believe this sh!t"?

"My 6950 regularly sees about 1.5GB of usage across all multiplayer maps, and occasionally goes up to around 1.8GB.

This is based on what Afterburner graphs tell me. "

Ok I wanna know what settings his 6950 was running to use 1.8gb of memory and play at over 40fps minimum. Complete BS.

You're basically geting a GTX 480 for half the original launch price *LAST YEAR*, proving once again top of the line cards are an absolute rip off.

The 1gb 560ti averages 100% identical to the 2gb version across 20 games and 5 resolutions. Even at 2500x1600 they average to exactly the same.

Will ppl please stop with the 2gb crap on these cards already. nvidia didnt ram starve their 560s, 460s. Their architectures are pretty balanced.
