Isn't Longhorn supposed to use a new file system based on MS' SQL server?
I remember reading that the alpha's don't have the new file system though.
EDIT: after looking at those screen shots it sure seems like it is being designed to work with an SQL server. (explorer has a filter settings for each folder)

Longhorn will probably have about the same amount difference to XP as XP has to 2000. Practically same Kernel, same processes etc. Just a very pretty GUI with some more users applications.
Ps. not knocking Xp, I like it.

They should really add symbolic linking to it. Better yet, add it to the XP version of NTFS so that I don't have to install Longhorn in 3 years or whatever.

Heh, yeah I found those when I was searching (to make sure that it wasn't obviously available and I just missed it). I wonder why they don't promote this feature and why it's not just easily available and packaged with the UI.
Ah, well. Thanks for the links!
