About 4 days, coming off a rugged ass drinking binge. Got admitted to the hospital where I still didn't eat for several days but I did get an IV.

Technically never more than 12-14 hours.

If we're not counting liquids, then I had a horrible stomach flu a few years ago and "ate" nothing but Gatorade for about 4 days.

3 weeks isn't really an issue, especially if you take vitamins.
I know people that go 40 days without food.

and when you're pretty much bed ridden on a steady diet of narcotics the fact that you can't eat quickly merges to don't want to eat.

Ah yes. I heard that "you can live 72 hours without water and 2 weeks without food" as a common base, though I guess they didn't take Vitamins into consideration, and I always though they were being conservative with their guess. So "death by starvation" will take me over 2 months according to norseamd's video, hmmm, better to jump off a bridge or electrocute yourself maybe :hmm:

Is your comment related to mine somehow?

I was talking about some religious people...they do this 40 day thing with no food every now and then. Drop a multivitamin in a water bottle and that's it. Always still in decent shape at the end, though obviously a bit lighter.

Man if I miss a meal or sometimes don't eat enough for breakfast, it's bad news for me.

I used to not eat all day sometimes but don't think I could do that anymore. I've conditioned myself to eat every hr or so during the day starting at 8am, stopping around 1pm.

I always heard 3 minutes, 3 days, 3 weeks...for air, water, and food.

Probably just as an easy to remember, rough guideline type thing.

I know for a fact people can and have gone longer on all of those.

That's..just..wrong. Not to mention, unAmerican.

No sex, drugs, alcohol, no parties, no social events, no fun. It's my destiny to live the most miserable life possible.

I do my best to break the rules though. I just enjoyed a Hoff video, rubbing tears of joy and sorrow all over myself.

The only thing sadder than having regrets is not having any.

~6 days. Went a couple without drinking (anything) during the same episode. Quite ill. Lost 40 pounds in that period.

The only thing sadder than having regrets at the end of a long life is not having any. Does that clear things up? Probably not but, by the time you get that old it'll be too late to do anything about it.

Unfortunately I'm still not sure what you are saying here.

Do I have regrets already, or do I regret not having any regrets? Or are you saying I should go get some regrets?

For me it really is to late to have any of the fun or experiences of the teens and twenties. I don't have enough money to even buy one friend, so I can't even pretend to fake it either.

At least I didn't make the worst mistakes possible while I was that age.

There's an old Samuel Clemens quote I can't find that goes something like this: "A man who follows the letter of the law in every case is even more foolish than the man who breaks it at every opportunity." Go outside, get dirty, make mistakes. I guarantee that whatever you believe the "worst mistakes possible" are, you're wrong. I'm not telling you to go out and rob a liquor store, I'm telling you evaluate the rules you're so willing to follow and proclaim to others. "Question authority" isn't a rebel slogan, it's a moral imperative.

Four days, just to see if I could.

I think 4 or 5 days for me, but it was due to a stomach bug or something, even drinking water hurt D:

I do a food/water fast at least once or twice a month for 24 hours; I think it's good to give your body a break from digestion. Lots of interesting research out there on the health benefits of doing so.

There was some wise consideration in your last quote but this is quite the bad interpretation. It has more to do with enjoying life and not holding back worrying about everything then it being perfectly fine to break morality whenever just because you try to legitimize it as not wasting your limited lifespan in this existence.

Easier said than done, especially when you're retarded. I'm very likely to just get arrested (been very close a few times). I'm learning...but much slower than others. I don't know or don't have the ability to test the line without breaking it. Even figuring out where to start isn't easy. For everybody else, they all seemed to have a group of friends to rely on and practice with. I'd have to go out into the world and try to experiment with complete strangers. If I try something I've never done before and react poorly, very bad things can happen.

Some regrets you really don't want to have.
