Who's the longest running lineup in a band or group? The Beastie Boys have been going 25 years not with the same 3 guys, any bands managed longer (with the same lineup)?
Metallica have also been going 25 years, but they've changed members, added/taken away etc.

Any advance on 25 years? (And solo artists don't count)

NO LINEUP CHANGES.
THE LINEUP MUST HAVE REMAINED THE SAME.

Yep

Nope.
They've had lineup changes.

The original line-up included Mick Jagger (vocals), Brian Jones (guitar, harmonica, vocals), Keith Richards (guitar, vocals), Ian "Stu" Stewart (piano), Mick Taylor (bass)
Taylor left [...] He was replaced by Bill Wyman
Brian Jones was forced out of the band.

Those count as lineup changes, because the lineup changed.

I was going to suggest Metallica, but it doesen't work with your criteria.

Aerosmith has been around longer than U2.
Neil Young was only temporary in CSN
Allman Bros. they had somebody die so they had a lineup change.

I was just going on the OP's "Any advance on 25 years?" criteria.

"Boy," U2's 1st album was released in 1980.
Neil Young has contributed to CSN&Y for decades. I saw them live again in 2002.
Duane Allman died in 1971 but the ABB did not stop being an entity.

They changed drummers early on.

Neil, Geddy, and Alex have been in the band for the last 30 or so years though. I can't think of another band that has lasted that long with the same consistent line up.

Sorry I know this is an old thread but I am researching something similar for a radio show I host and came across the site :)

Everyone forgetting ZZTop

ZZTop is one of the longest I found with the original members
U2 are next
A-ha... (Not a fan)
Aerosmith still performing with original member since 1984.. Perry and Whiitford left in 79/80 and returned in '84
Rush Neil Peart join on the second album...
