I don't know why but the last time I went camping, I failed to have a movement for 4 days. And believe me I ate a lot on that trip. What gives?

About a week and a half the last time I went to Japan. Change in diet made things a little wacky.

I have no idea what the longest ever for me is, but I routinely go 2 or 3 days..

I know it's really bad, heh.

When I was a kid I had severe issues with constipation, if I remember correctly I might go for a week or two without defecating. I've obviously gotten better with age, but there are times where I'll go four days without a bowel movement. It's not very healthy and it has a lot of negative side-effects.

I'm forcing myself to eat Kashi every morning and to try and have a bowel movement every couple days. As I'm spending more time outside, on a regular sleep schedule and more time exercising I'm getting better at it.

4 days is pushing it.

I went like 10 and was getting seriously worried. Take the normal medication and prepare for the blow-out.

you may have to administer a supository (sp?), good luck with that route.

i think if you dont dump for a week or more, your turds will be bright green when they finally emerge...excess iron or something iirc

I've never been very regular, and it sucks because I know it's really bad for you.

It goes in cycles. It just depends on what you eat, obviously. If I'm eating a lot of oatmeal, I'll go everyday. If I'm eating a lot of nuts and seeds, it gets a little more compacted & takes longer. But since my diet isn't constant(I get tired of foods after a while), it's always changing. Sometimes I'll go twice in a day, and sometimes I won't go for 4 or 5 days.

My dad takes psyllium fiber everyday. I should start doing the same thing..

UUuugh. MREs and IMPs are bung-tastic. Not to mention they give you acne and you put on weight like hell.

Yeah, I tend to be the same way. I'd like to think once I get in a long term committed relationship that some of the cyclical aberrations will start to go away, but it may be a chicken and the egg thing.

Indeed. Ever since I have increased my fiber intake, my bowel movements have become fairly constant. I have gone 3-4 days before though.
