Longest Forum Thread ever?

That one's dumb, as it's sole point appears to be to be the longest thread ever.

The AVSForum thread on AV123's Rocket Speakers (and their Swan Divas before that) was legendary... they eventually had to close it and start a new one, and may have had to do that again if I recall correctly.

EDIT: Link

Most forums I frequent have a cap on the number of pages that a thread can reach. Not many out there that don't cap the page limit on threads I think.

The most recent "real" thread was over the Georgia Ossetia stuff at around 10,000 posts. The forum does 25 posts per page and it tops out at 100 pages and the thread was remade 4 times.

On the Philadelphia Eagles message board, there's a thread called "Eagles Blog" started by one of the more respected members on there. It's at 4063 pages now, and all discussion, 81252 posts, 1171964 views. Began August 19, 2004.

It was the worst crap that ever graced AT, and I was one of a few people that refused to post in it.

Thanks sh!t like that AT had to implement the multi forums/registration craps.

Go look for one on an anime forum. Then tend to be less on creating new threads and just post in few threads.
