Longer EIDE cables needed

I have a lian-li case where you can mount your hard drives at the bottom of the case, directly in front of two 80mm intake fans. The thing is, I want one drive in there, and another one in a removable drive rack in a 5.25 bay. Assuming I put the rack in the bottom slot, there is still around 8 inches between them. I pulled out my "big box of spare cables and wires" and the longest cable I can find has ~7.5 inches between the slave and master connectors....just a hair too short! Do they make them with more cable length between those two connectors or not? I'd rather not be forced to put the drive in the floppy rack, because those 7200rpm drives get darn hot.

check newegg for round cables and see how long they are...

but FYI 7200rpm HD do not require a cooler/fan. it's not worth the money to get new cables just to make sure the are cool. i have a fan blowing directly on my antec case and it is still warm. pretty useless i say. (drive is WD1200JB)

tho people might argue a fan will prolong a drive's life. IMO it's not worth it in your case
