So today I got my summons for Jury Duty. Unfortunately, I probably won't be allowed on the jury because my sister works for the District Attorney, my brother's a cop and I helped run the DA's re-election campaign...damn...

Hopefully it'll be a civil suit though! Anyone else ever really want to do Jury Duty?

Yes, if there is ever a trial for those who have tortured prisoners in secret prisons, I want to be on the jury. I will be the one who refuses to convict. It will be fun.

I so thought this was going to be about 2 chicks

That is only for L&R and should be posted after my return from the next trip to Delaware.

I don't see why that would get you dismissed.

I got a Jury Summons last summer and all I did was sit in a waiting room for 4 days, 8 hours each day. They never even called my group...

Most people (myself included) I know that have had jury duty never even saw a trial. You go and sit in a room and watch tv for a few hours, then they come out and tell you that everyone has already pleaded guilty and you can all go home.

Same. Not unless they select you for a federal case do you rarely get a seat.
