I have a Creative Zen VPlus 8GB. Its been doing fine, almost drag and drop, but not quite (easy to use). 2 main gripes, the buttons make are creaky and the screen is useless in daylight. Otherwise, its a great portable player, fits very easily in my pocket (better than nano in this respect).

My Ipod Video 30GB is having some issues with the HDD. After I get past a certain space on the HDD it will begin freezing on songs and continuously reading from the HDD until the batter is dead or I force reset. Annoying, but I don't use it that much. I got a 2GB card for my Samsung A727 mobile phone and I'm happy to use that as I don't realy listen to more than 2GB worth of songs at a time.

HD is still going strong, but had to replae the battery two years ago. Overall...I'm quite satisfied with it.

Thinking about getting a nano, but wife has one and wtf am I going to do with this one. It still works and all.

Retire it. That thing is f'ing huge.

Not as big as my rio riot.....20gb.....LOL

So what is the consensus re: the easiest to use, most reliable etc etc.....the managing partner at our firm is in the market for a player!

I have a 60GB 5th gen iPod, and actively use it to play music in my car. Works great, no issues.

I need replaceable batteries - I'm not throwing out a 300 to 400 dollar player because the battery won't hold a charge. I want 100GB or more of storage, line-level out, and support for FLAC. I'd like gapless playback. I don't care about video. voice recording would be nice.

What about a rockboxed iPod with the 100gb hard drive installed?
