Says me. A lot of folks think they can't run their premium car without the high performance summer tires it came with. If you like those tires, more power to you but a lot of folks don't understand you don't need "special" tires. I've had people tell me they can't go with a certain tire because it's not a "BMW" tire or a "Cadillac" tire and doesn't cost $250...

I buy tyres with my car model posted on the side. What's so hard to understand?

There seriously seems to be a reading comprehension problem on this forum.

Let me quote myself, the same quote you just quoted.

My original comment was in regards to tires only lasting 12k which I suggested an all season tire which will go 45k and hi-po tires not being a requirement for premium sedans (they aren't, cry about it all you want).

I understand where the comment came from; I'm just saying that there is no point in recommending cheap tires to somebody who clearly said they enjoy spited driving.

For most people however, yes. You are correct, cheap all-seasons are just fine.

Fun fact: "cheap" all seasons would have cost me MORE than the high performance tires I bought

A 330i is absolutely a trackable car and one that (with ZSP or an aftermarket suspension) will outhandle anything short of a full-blown sports car. It will absolutely benefit from dedicated, high-performance summer tires. Moreover, in its ZSP iteration, it should really get Z-rated tires because it's capable of 150-155 MPH.

This doesn't necessarily imply expensive tires - I use relatively inexpensive Hankook V12 Evos which ride well and provide good grip - but it would be stupid in my opinion to equip it with some crummy all-seasons.

To go even further offtopic, just bought a set of these as well. So far very happy with them.

Must agree here. I also put a set of these on about a month ago. Love the performance for the price

Nice, I know what my next set will be, thanks guys! My current set will probably explode within 7-8k miles.

I'm genuinely curious if there are tires designed to go 45k miles in my tire size. I couldn't find any via searching through tirerack.

Yes, any Ultra High Performance All Seasons will go 45K.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus, Yokohama Avid Envigor, etc.

18" tires are cheap.

Wow! You've had a lot better luck than me!

I got my 335i on 2/09 and have taken it in at least 8 times for problems. In fact, I just took it in again on Friday bc my adaptive headlight broke and it was pointed down like a lazy eye. They had to replace the entire headlight unit. I only have 15K miles on my car too. I think I'll be done with this car before I hit 50K miles.

Ouch sorry to hear about your experience. I was a little miffed at first that if I waited a year, I could've gotten a 335i for the same price but now I'm glad that I didn't after hearing about the HPFP issues.

Maybe I have the lucky car but honestly, nothing has really broken on me yet (knock on wood). Come to think about it, all my cars have never really given me trouble regardless of manufacturer. I've owned Fords, Chevy, Honda, Toyota, KIA and now BMW. I think the worst issue was my KIA sportage that went 150k miles on the original 60k mile spark plugs and it went poof on the highway. Maybe I'm just a lucky guy.
