I need to know what current wireless card (can be a/b or g standard, I dont card, g would probibly be best though.) that has the farthest range. here is why (might just be a fantacy, but I think It would be fun) My family goes on long trips across the United states every so often. We have 2 laptop computers and a fairly large family that requires 2 cars. We have 1 inverter but I plan on getting a second if im going to carry out my plan. 😀 If you cant tell where this is going, I want to be able to play games agenst the people in the other car. (why b standard would work as most games dont need more the 11 MBPS) we stay fairly close to each other while traviling (except in heavy traffic) I would estamate the maximum distance is about 500 yards. Also. if this is just not possible with wireless cards, would it be with one of those Antennas Trendnet makes? a 4 dbi increase may make the diffrence. One last thing, experiance is good when dealing with cards. but please dont just post Netgear cus it Owsn meh Dlink 120 USb Card. if possible I would like facts to back up the claims (IE. DBI rating would work well.)
