long pause on K7V

My K7V machine hasn't always done this, so I'm wondering how I can fix it. You know after you get the single POST beep, the screen that shows different parameters like the cpu speed, how much RAM, IRQ usage by the PCI cards, etc? Well, right after this stuff, the machines does nothing for about 15 - 20 seconds. As often as I need to reboot Windows, I would like for this not to happen. I have the latest flash BIOS. TIA.

Try reseting the bois defaults. Or getting a guide on how to optimiz the bois for the best performence.

Well, I found that if I change the boot device order, so that the hard drive is the starter, the pause is only about 4 seconds compared with about 20, if the LS120 is the first boot device.
