Well, football might be more enjoyable on a big screen TV than on a computer monitor, but Civ3 is not :p

Game consoles are not directed as a competitor to PCs. The strength of PCs lie in its versatility: word processing, mp3s, photoshop, you get the idea. Game consoles are not supposed to replace a PC, rather it is aimed to be a key component in every person's home entertainment. PC gaming will live on because it is its own genre sorta. When I want to game, I want to be able to get in and play, no worry about installing/configuring. This is the beauty of consoles. Of course there are people who are going to say, its only 5 minutes to do all that. Like I said, I just want to get in the game straight out. Besides, can you play with three other people on the same 19 inch Trinitron? Nope. Multiplayer on PCs are still better though but maybe consoles will come near that quality someday.
