FYI- most seafood you have access to is frozen. Of course, it's not the bottom-feeding crap they serve you at fast food joints, but it is frozen.

Well, at least the stuff I eat. In New Orleans, many of the poboy shops and small seafood places are run by shrimpers or shrimpers' relatives. The shrimp is brought in fresh, daily. Other places I eat purchase their fish every morning from a seafood market.
In New York, it's the same. Most of the places I (especially sushi) purchase their fish and other seafood fresh daily.
The only frozen seafood I
know I'm eating is tuna (or wahoo or jack) steaks, redfish and trout filets, whole flounder, and shrimp that my parents send me frozen from New Orleans. The shrimp are bought fresh from shrimpers and the fish is caught by my father. But that doesn't count, because I know exactly how long it's been frozen and the process it went through before getting to me.
