AMD xp2000; 512 generic ram

I changed the battery. CMOS is keeping up with the date now and wasn't before, but it takes a few minutes before it even thinks about POSTing. When it finally POSTs, everything seems fine - at a slower speed than it should...It won't run at 133mhz bus speed like it should. Any ideas? m/b? ram? cpu?

New battery would mean CMOS settings are all new again, therefore you will have to check. Unable to advise settings unless you advise M/B model!

mobo or psu. This is a pretty unique problem, so I'd try a net search to see if it is a known problem with any of your components.

Had a similar problem. Go topcstats and check out their 3 Win XP guides, 101, 99, and 104. Much more esponsive after using these.
