Im testing the beta of the product and Loved Diablo 1 & 2. While Diablo 3 looks stunning Im not sure its any fun. I dont feel there is much strategy to the game. Run in and out of the room to draw a few monsters then repeat. Its missing something for me.

It seems like Diablo 3 should have some AI improvements over previous versions.

FWIW, there's a free open beta this starting at noon Pacific today and running through the weekend. all you need is battle.net account to sign up. looks like about a 5-6GB download.

WTF? Blizzard games rarely go on sale for the first few years. Take SC2. Released in June, 2010 and STILL $59.99.

Anyways, I emailed Newegg about when this will ship. Here's their response:

"Please kindly note that the release date at Newegg means the date we receive the product from manufacturer, thus we will process your order today. We may receive it earlier than the release date, in which cases, we will process your orders ahead of time so you can receive it around the release date, however, please kindly note that it is never a guarantee Newegg can deliver the package on the release date since that's the estimated date we receive shipment from manufacturer. Thanks in advance for your understanding."

So basically, Newegg will ship it whenever they receive it, maybe early, maybe not.
