So its the first friday since my girlfriend broke up with me. Since its Easter weekend, everyone is out of town (or with their own girlfriends) and I'm bored and alone.

Then she texts me, "I'm praying you're doing well. I'm always here if you need me"

And I can't stop thinking about it.

i know i shouldn't write her back....right? What would you do?

just ignore here. I remember when my gf broke up with me. She said, you can still call me, ask me to go out on a date to dinner and stuff. I was like wtf.

seriously.

well i bought some beer. And the couch is pretty comfy. I guess the plan is just to drink enough i pass out.

How old are you bro?

If she was truly there for you, she wouldn't have broken up with you. Another vote here for ignore her.

Women, for some reason, usually want to try to remain friends with their exes. I think there are two factors behind it: The first is that they want to turn you into their emotional tampon, and the second is that they want to keep in contact with you in case they need financial help in the future.

ask for a bj

not sure thats the best idea. Dont think she'd go for it.

Though, i'm worried thats in her future....just not with me....its HER first single friday night too.

What makes you think she's alone? She broke up for a reason.

As a girl, I'm not sure why you think remaining friends with your ex-GF is a bad thing. Just because you go from friends -> dating/enjoying each other's company -> lovers (BF/GF), then back to friends (usually a break-up) because it didn't work out for whatever reason, doesn't mean all the wonderful qualities about the person should be strewn aside. Except for this last BF, I've been able to stay good friends with my exes. Of course, I tended not to talk about any new guys I was dating with any recent exes and was very sincere in finding out what was going on in their lives.

The main reason why half of my exes & I don't talk anymore is because his current GF/wife/lover wouldn't be too happy with it.

Well i made it through the night without calling her or texting her and got drunk at home. Not the best of nights, but not as bad as I was worried it'd be.

Thanks to all for the support.

Get yourself some new girlfriends soon. (friends) or DATE if you have to, but go out and do something new, or else, staying home will make you think of her.

Don't call her back, and avoid seeing her. Move on. She left you, you need someone new in your life.

Any answer to this should involve the word "voodoo" 😉

Seriously, just text her back, "Thanks" and nothing else. Polite, gives her no insight into what you're thinking, and you feel like you've closed the situation.
