im thinking Barca > Paris > London

anyone else intimately familiar with the 3 cities want to offer an opinion?

I have never been to London, but have spent ~2 months in Paris while I was doing research there. I absolutely loved Paris, and it would be great to live there....but that being said, Barcelona is the most fun city I have been to in Europe. It is so much fun - if you are into the night life and like going out to bars/clubs - and it is a lot of fun to see people start to go out to dinner at like 10:00pm or later.

Depends on what you are looking for, but if you want sheer fun, I would say barcelona....of course, if you are more into musuems and historical sites, I think paris wins, despite all the gaudi stuff in barcelona.

I was going to suggest the opposite order, so we apparently have different interests. 😛 And my family is from Catalonia. :Q

I've been to Barcelona; as a 15 year old it was kind of meh. Not high up on my list of favorite places I visited. I've never been to Paris... been to Nice. The French don't like us too much.

they're all chocfull of great history there. try to spend time equally if you can, but if you can. then paris is my choice.

I beg to differ. I was in Nice in June of last year. I visited Barcelona a few days prior to that. I thought the French people in the small villages were extremely nice especially in Nice and Monte Carlo area. Barcelona is cool. Too many friggin Americans there however.

ive heard same about small-town france. howevre i am wayy too tight on schedule to explore france so this is a "checklist" trip - thus the major cities.

i like to eat late, sleep late, wake late, thus preference for barcelona

and > london because they speak english

wonder if other people feel the same

I choose Paris over Barcelona. Never been to London.

I was in Paris in November, and everything you've heard about Parisians being rude is false. Just learn to say, "Excuse me, do you speak English?" in French. At least show some effort. And know how to say "please" and "thank you."
