London-ers, need your help/advice

Alright, so I think there's a very good chance that I'll be visiting London at the end of the month...thing is, the plan is to go during my sister's spring break, while mine is the week after that...so if I can find a hostel or whatever beforehand, I'd like to stick around and see some more of the country.

Any suggestions or websites for me, please let me know...if I could work it out, that'd be really great.

Well I really have no idea, but it could be anywhere, just need a place to crash for 3-4 nights...ideally, near the tourist-y places, but I don't mind up to 30 minutes of travel to get into the city.

When I went with a few friends we stayed at "Dover Castle Hostel" in London
it was close to the tube, almost across the street from ministry of sound (i'm sure, but we didn't go because they were closed when we were there), met a few cool people (canadian girl that was working in london for a while and an indian girl who was backpacking through).
but it's nowhere near being a "castle". when we went, they were repainting the place and tearing stuff up. but the experience was cool and I would do it again. I think it cost something like 12-15$ US a night - that was a room with 4 beds (you share the room with others).

awesome, finally some help...typically, my family and I live on the ritzier side, but I want to live cheap while I see the city/country on my own.
