God has intrinsic value. Nothing else does."

Whoever wrote that misunderstands the meaning of the word intrinsic. God has no intrinsic value. Just as with bitcoin, the value of God depends on belief in the concept.

To someone who won't accept bitcoin as currency, bitcoin has no value. To an atheist, the concept of God has no value.

There is absolutely a "market for God": believers.

And there exists a plethora of competing bureaucracies devoted to marketing the God concept. The Vatican is one of the oldest and most successful of these. Just look at the treasure of jewels and such lying in their vaults.
