I ordered a $35 stick of ram on newegg but the order was declined 6! times due to the credit card.

First, I call the CC company and they said everything was fine. I reorder the ram and again it's declined.

I call newegg and verify my information. They try again and it's declined. I re-call newegg and they say to try the CC people again.

I call the CC and they said that EVERY order (over $200 now) was accepted, not declined. So now Newegg has to call my CC company and get the charges dropped. So now I'm on hold with Newegg again trying to drop 5 of the charges and finally get my order accepted.

Hahaha, and the ram's not even for me 🙂

I called Newegg and they said just get an authorization # (basically ignore what the CC people said).

So now I call my CC company back and they said there is no authorization number to give.

I'm on hold with newegg again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Newegg said it's all taken care of.

I called my CC, they said there are no longer 6 charges, woo! Now there's 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (7 x $35.48)

YOu have to get the 2 of them on the phone TOGETHER. No matter what newegg says. Its the only way you will get it resolved period. Dont take to the answering lacky on either end... get bumped up to supervisor on both ends, get the sups on the phone together and will be resolved in mins.

Ive had to do this on a few occasions with Insurance companies and medical bills.

Dont do the leg work for them... THEY screwed up. Plain and simple.
 
Or you can call the CC company and tell them you're having trouble with Newegg canceling the orders and you want them to stop payment on the charges. That ought to get Newegg calling you and/or the CC company real quick.

Sounds like newegg is the one who screwed up, (I know that's enough to get publicly lynched around here 😉 but...) since they said the CC was declined when in fact it wasn't. I'd tell them to fix it.
 
Hey, even the Egg can make a mistake and as much as I love them if I was Mame I would be pretty upset too.

Edit: Just read rh71's post. Another case of f^cking thieves making the rest of us pay, in this case by virtue of inconvenience. These are the same type of unscrupulous bastards that have us paying more for insurance, medical care and goods in general for fraudulent claims like slip and falls, shoplifting, etc. :disgust:

that happened to be i ordered something totalling $60 something but it was declined and they went ahead and tried again and then a 3rd time! i called them like wtf so they cleared the mess and ordered the item AGAIN and it went through!!!! but because of it i got charged $60 X4!!!!!! and had to wait a week for 3 of the charges to go back to my account
