I do not understand why people on craigslist do this. If it's over priced, it's over priced. Let an idiot buy it. Do they not have a life that they think they are the savior of high priced junk?

When my gf was selling her mint 09 Corolla with only 9K on it, every response was "You priced it to high...I can buy a new one for that price". I eventually took over and my response to each of them was, "Then go buy a new one". Their response was, "No on will spend 15.5k on that, i will give you 9K. You are priced too high". This was the same thing over and over again for about 2 weeks and over 50 emails. Then when you went on craigslist, there were responses to her ad that consisted of:

"Don't buy this car....you can buy a new one at this dealership for their asking price."

Well, yes, I am sure you could buy a new Corolla for 15.5K....a basic one. You know, one with no sunroof, no remote start, no heated windows, no S version sports kit, no fog lights. Need I go on?

In the end, we just avoided craigslist all together and just posted it on Cars.com. Sold it a week later for $500 under our asking price, which is actually a bargain considering that a dealership was selling the same car with almost three times the mileage for 2K more.

What the two PC fools aren't taking into consideration is the fact that the OP is selling an Apple Computer. Read that slowly to yourselves, close your eyes, and think about it for at least five minutes. Each Mac is made with the utmost care and expert craftsmanship. There are no silly seams and flash from the molding process. Each new generation of Mac introduces new, unique designs. That alone is worth the extra cost. People pay money for sculptures that do nothing but enhance their surroundings. Mac's enhance their surroundings and also enrich the lives of their owners through superior software and user interfaces. That is why they cost more. That is why they should cost more. Everyone knows this.

Craigslist is horrible, scammers and low-ballers throughout. I sold a router once on craigslist, the guy came to my old apt, i shows him it works and how to configure it, he calls me that evening saying it don't work and he wants his money back, my reply was 'you cant fix stupid'.

General Rule: Never ever buy a pc from craigslist, no matter how good of a deal it is, you will get burned.
