What's the fuss about? I'm sure you bought the hard drive with the intention of storing the very same thing. Do you think people really buy 300gig hard drives so they can save their word and excel docs to?

Yes, I do (see sig). Besides, that's not the point. When you sell someone a HD, wipe it. Try to be a little professional about your sale.
 
I don't mind evidence that the previous owner viewed porn on a used hard drive... I would mind evidence that the previous owner viewed porn on a used keyboard though.
