CNN just showed a video of some lady deciding on who to vote for from a coin flip.

My son's class did an election. We asked him who he voted for. He said, "John McCain." I asked why did he pick McCain. "Because my friend's name is John."

Sadly, this is a better reason than many people will have for voting for their candidate.

Well, I didn't even realize that Barrack was a name until last year.

Barrack is not going to do very well with the important "My friends name is X" demographic.

CNN is racist. They interview an older black couple "Did you ever expect to see this day?"

Yeah, cuz if Obama wins it's not, you know, a momentous occasion for black americans...

It's just a skin color, there is nothing momentous.

That's the 3rd dumb thing you've said in this thread:

CNN is racist-because they're asking people who lived through segregation if they ever thought a black guy would be slated to win the presidency? Are you an idiot?

You didn't know Barack was a name until last year. And yet, with all this coverage, you still can't fucking spell it. Since you clearly cannot read, voting may be a challenge for you.

To say it's not momentous is clearly coming from the mouth of a white guy who never went through what blacks have gone through in this country.

I didn't address this because of your political stance, Bill. I just can't stand stupidity of such magnitude. Please pull your tall, smug head out of your red/white/blue ass.

I'm thinking I'll get stoned and play some Fallout 3/Warhead. I should be sober by the time results are actually in.

If you believe that people are different because of their skin color then yes it is a momentous occasion. Are we all the same, or different, or what?

It's not a matter of whether we are in fact different. It's a matter of perceived difference. Blacks have been perceived as inferior for a long time, and the fact that you're asking what's momentous is (not only making you look stupid) a good indicator that we've come a long way.

Do you believe people have ever been treated differently because of the color of their skin?

The reporters are trying so hard to make a big story out of today.
They keep interviewing people that voted and it goes like this almost every time:

Cnn: So you voted today
Voter: Yes
Cnn: Are you excited about voting today ?
Voter: yeah
Cnn: It is really a historical event today isn't it "
Voter: Yeah, it is

Cnn: There you have it, you can see the excitement in the voters !

They also keep hoping for a voting machine disaster.
They are hurting so bad for stories they keep putting on stories where 4 voting machines didn't work, or where someplace opened 10 minutes late.
They're hoping to strike gold.

Cnn: So you voted today
Voter: HELL YEAH! Gotta keep the terrorist out of office! We already had one guy blow up the Trade Centers in office, using missiles loaded with suicide-bombing Muslims! He also killed JFK, and they're covering up global warming! The chemtrails from airplanes are what's doing it all! TINFOIL HATS FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!

The next day, "Voter" will have a book deal, three movie contracts, and appear on 5 talk shows.

Well, its just not something that I've experienced much of in my lifetime. I don't perceive Obama to be different at all. There have been a few idiots on tv that are clearly voting for him because he is black though, which shows that they perceive a difference.

I'm crying? You sense tears from this? Because I'm calling a guy out on his idiocy? How about this: attack my ideas. Argue with me. Prove I'm wrong.

Or, just be a dumbass and sit there with a two word insult that could be planted into any disagreement at any point on either side, and feel good about yourself for your faux-contribution.

Take a history class. Seriously. It's embarassing. Are you really going to ignore the hundreds of years of history of racial inequality in this country? Are you gonna act like there aren't still numerous threats against this man's life because of the power he's about to achieve and the color of his skin? If you want to ignore all of that, I don't even know what to say to you.

KYLE
Our main point is that the flag shouldn't
offend anyone, because killing has been
around since the bieginning of time.
All animals kill. And the animals that
don't kill are stupid ones, like cows
and turtles and stuff. So people should
not be so upset about killing.

CHEF
Whoa whoa whooaa! You just missed the
point entirely!

KYLE
Huh?

CHEF
I'm not mad because the flag shows somebody
gettin' killed, It's because it's racist!

KYLE'S TEAM
Racist??

CHEF
Children, don't you even know what this
argument is about?! That flag is racist
because a black man is being hung by
white people.

KYLE'S TEAM
Ooooooohhh.

CHEF
Ooooooohhh?!

KYLE
W-we really didn't see it that way.

CHEF
But that's a black man up there!

KYLE
Y-yeah, but... the color of someone's
skin doesn't matter.

CHEF
Well of course it matters when- ...Oh
my God. Wait a minute. You children
didn't even see the flag as a black
man being hanged by white people, did
you?

KYLE'S TEAM
No.

CHEF
Why, that is- that is the most beautiful
thing I have ever heard.

MAYOR
What?

MR. WYLAND
What?

CHEF
Don't you see? All this time I thought
these little crackers had turned racist,
when actuallih they were so not racist
that they didn't even make a separation
of black and white to begin with. All
they saw when they looked at that flag
was five people.

A FEW PEOPLE
Awww.

SOME KKK MEMBERS
Awww.

KYLE
Yeah.

CHEF
I'm sorry, children. I was wrong about
you. But I still the flag needs to be
changed. But now I realize that I almost
let racism turn me into a racist.

Please say nothing, we'll all be better off. I've read plenty about our abusive past, but the only way to move forward is to stop making black people a separate entity.

Fuck man, lay of the personal attacks. You first post had 6 insults, and now this. Stop crying and maybe people will be inclined to listen to you.
