LOL, the press is trying so hard for a story

I've been watching cnn today for a couple hours and it is almost comical to watch.
The reporters are trying so hard to make a big story out of today.
They keep interviewing people that voted and it goes like this almost every time:

Cnn: So you voted today
Voter: Yes
Cnn: Are you excited about voting today ?
Voter: yeah
Cnn: It is really a historical event today isn't it "
Voter: Yeah, it is

Cnn: There you have it, you can see the excitement in the voters !


They also keep hoping for a voting machine disaster.
They are hurting so bad for stories they keep putting on stories where 4 voting machines didn't work, or where someplace opened 10 minutes late.

Yeah, it's going to be like this ALL day. I am going to be sick of watching the same talking heads spewing the same damn results tonight, but will watch anyways.

They should drive the news van through a voting center and crash into an electronic voting machine. "Catastrophic voting machine crash! How will it affect you?" That's news you can use right there.

FNC was reporting on Black Panthers in Philly intimidating voters. They ask where the cops are to protect the old from these scary Black Panthers. Strangest story yet.

"The terrorist won New York!" (Saying "Obama is a terrorist" seems to be the "in thing" from what I saw last night in game).

"The VPILF took Kansas!"

Usually with worse grammar and more crudeness.

My son's class did an election. We asked him who he voted for. He said, "John McCain." I asked why did he pick McCain. "Because my friend's name is John."

Sadly, this is a better reason than many people will have for voting for their candidate.
