You would have to be retarded to think a $800-$1000 dollar device is going to be had for less than $100. Like I said the person still got a good deal on this device. If you are that dump it is unlikly you could even use ebay.

Now, who's the dump one? 🙂

It's actually not deceptive. The buyer knows fully well what the seller's doing. eBay needs to crack down on these kind of auctions if they want to see a bigger cut though.

Here's why it's deceptive...
It's unreasonable to assume that any person would suspect a $600 shipping charge.
People on AOL can not read (or are exempt).
A good percentage of ebay shoppers are blissfully ignorant.
It's inherently dishonest.
The odds that some retarded shmo who just got a computer the day before yesterday will bid on the item are very high. The bidder will be upset and the seller will be upset when the bidder is done going "I didn't know there was a shipping cost".
It's also irresponsible.
It's also clearly designed to circumvent ebay fees.

Yes, you would have to be dump. Unfortunately most folks are not as tech savvy as those that hang around here. People, in general, are dump when it comes to all things internet.
Another shameful thing is that lots of folks aren't used to having to look over there shoulder 24/7 to see if someone is waiting to assfvck them.
Ma and Pa kettle get a computer and think the nice people they meet online are decent, hard working, caring individuals like their neighbor who stopped by with a fresh bakes apple pie this evening.
Much to their chagrin, they find that the only folks that really want to be friends with them are the guys from Nairobi who want to purchase their cows with a fake money order.
The same guy who buys that GPS is likely the one who also answers the "Make $2,000 a week on your computer" ads.
Some folks truly aren't all that well endowed upstairs. It doesn't mean they should be preyed upon, and it certainly doesn't mean that they deserve to get fvcked over because they're dim.

I thought ebay doesn't allow this?
Yah, they should start putting caps on shipping charges.
That would be kinda stupid, I once shipped a deer shoulder mount, it cost me $75 for shipping not including the packaging. imagine buying a crate engine usually shipping is $150 or more.
