<< I wonder if companies with a really bad memory controller history, as e.g. VIA Technologies, couldn't ask NVIDIA to give them a few tips on how to implement a crossbar memory controller. There is no doubt that microprocessors could benefit from this technology as well. Rambus Inc. could use this technology to tackle the latency penalty of RDRAM. In this case I hope that NVIDIA has applied for a patent early enough, because otherwise Rambus may follow its tradition, copy NVIDIA's design, patent it and then sue NVIDIA. >>

<<I think the first sentence says that very explicitly.>>

He was teasing Rambus' evil strategies to win over the memory makers, not VIA. At any rate, VIA is no longer a company with bad memory controller, I'd love to see an Intel chipset beat VIA in memory performance using the same RAM.

I have a question for all of you who inputed "HAHAHA" or "LOL" or "LMAO" or whatever, are you laughing at Tom's remarks on Rambus or VIA? Do you think he was teasing VIA?

That's slander, and RAMBUS will make him pay for that.
Knowing that It's Rambus, anything is possible! :D
